what is a custom rom?
- DEFINITION: First of all you might be wondering what is a rom. ROM means "read only memory" and if you want to know more about it, i made a post "what is rom" on this website.A stock rom is the software that comes built in on your cellphone, so if u don't like this stock rom then you should go ahead and choose from the available softwares for your cell phone on the internet, and these softwares that you find on the internet are the custom roms and all these custom ROMS are made by programmers.
- better performance because the developer had removed all the garbage on your cell phone.
- better battery life because you can remove all the useless running programs.
- You can have the software of any cell phone.
- You can get the newest version of android.
- You can have the ability to install apps on the sd card.
- You might loose your software , then you should get someone to fix it.
- Your warranty might get void because in some cell phones like th nexus one you cannot get your stock rom back.
